 Successful Winter Meteorite Hunt

Together, Mike Morgan, Del Waterbury, and Myself (along with my son Ruben Jr ) had a great time finding meteorites in the desert southwest.  It was very cold as we got started but we warmed up quickly once the sun and meteorites started to appear! 

Mike Morgan got us off to a good start with a 22 gram half stone within just a few minutes of hunting in an area that I brought them to. I have found many meteorites here and knew we'd be finding more.

I quickly got on board with a smaller chondrite and then right away Mike found another! Ruben Jr suprised us all with the nicest find of the day - It was a beautiful complete stone about the same size as Mikes 22 gram. Del ended the day with a nice find too.

In the morning there was ice on everything!
